Meet Katherine
Katherine Sweet, Sales Representative
After working as Dave Roach’s Director of Operations for about 5 years Katherine decided it was time to take things to the next level and began the process of getting her real estate license. By January of 2019 she was fully licensed and sharing her time between being a Realtor and managing the office as Director. By 2021 she was in the Realtor role full-time. Katherine loves working with buyers and helping them navigate the often very difficult waters of finding and purchasing a home. She loves helping to make dreams come true with home ownership!
Katherine is very efficient and detail-oriented, but her greatest attribute is her friendly attitude. Katherine genuinely cares about people and does her utmost to serve all our clients.
Getting to Know Katherine
What is the best compliment you’ve been given? | You are empathetic and you care about people. Real estate is about building relationships, and you are a relational person. |
What is your favourite time of day? | Bedtime! I love climbing into my comfy bed with comfy covers and sinking into a time of rest after a busy day. I love the peace and quiet at bedtime. |
Glass half full or half empty? | I have always been a glass half full person; and if the glass is getting a little empty, I try to think of ways to fill it up again! |
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up? | When I was a child I wanted to grow up to be a mom! I had such a great role model in my own mother and I really wanted to have children and give them a similar upbringing. As a child I had other dreams too: I wanted to be a famous writer, and an actress! I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, and a husband that supported me and made my dream come true by allowing me to stay home with my babies when they were young. As my children got older my dreams changed, and I am very thankful to have been able to pursue each one. |
What brings you the greatest joy? | My family. All of them: Kids, Husband, Parents, Siblings, Nieces, Nephews, In-laws, Grandparents (yes, Grandparents! I have a 93 year old Grandfather-in-law. Until recent years, all my husband’s grandparents were living). |
Have you met any famous people? | Local musician Jacob Moon was my youth choir director. I met Sir Edmund Hillary as a child, and Paul Henderson on multiple occasions. Other than that, I haven’t met any famous people, but have come in close contact with a few. Mickey Rooney was running through an empty mall in the States one evening when I was a kid. |
